My regular roundup of what’s worth downloading from the various online stores. I don’t list everything, but if it’s worth getting it’s definitely here

Playstation Network Store

The Prodigy are just one of many free videos on Sony's new service

Vidzone. Sony’s free music video service is launched in Europe this week. I think it lets you download music videos for free.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix. D3’s less well received sequel to Puzzle Quest will set you back £15.99 – ouch!

Wolfenstein 3D. Only worth getting if you’re a fan of the original PC game as this looks and plays like a disaster. £3.99

Gunstar Heroes. Another classic game, this time from the Megadrive. This wasn’t on the recent Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection, so might be worth picking up. £3.99

Overlord 2 (demo).  This will hopefully persuade people to pick up this game. The first game was very underated and didn’t sell particularly well, but this time Codemasters are releasing versions for PS3, 360, Wii and DS in a hope to build some momentum.

Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2. 4 new multi player maps and more zombie based fun. £7.99

Killzone 2 Flash and Thunder Pack. 2 maps from the original Killzone provide a fairly expensive addition to the game. £4.79

Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island. Criterian finally release a new area for one of my favourite games of 2008. Shame my copy has gone missing as I would have already been playing this. £9.99

Little Big Planet costume packs.  Shadow of the Colossus costume packs for your sack people. £1.59 each.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine – Weapon X Arena. £3.99

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X. – Air Supremacy. If you’ve been holding off buying extra planes, here they all are in one easily downloadable pack. £7.99

XBox Live

Comix Zone. Recently released as part of the Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection, so does it really make sense to buy it separately, unless you want the Achievements?400 points

Altered Beast. See Comix Zone above. 400 points

Sonic the Hedgehog 3. See Comix Zone above. 400 points

Shinobi. Another classic Sega game, this time from the arcade. This wasn’t on the recent Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection, so might be worth picking up. 400 Points

Gunstar Heroes. This is also available on the PSN store. This wasn’t on the recent Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection, so might be worth picking up. 400 Points

Superstars Racing (demo). According to Playstation Official Magazine this is actually a decent racer from Codemasters even though it has received zero press.

Battlestations Pacific – Volcano Map Pack. 2 new maps that can be used in both skirmish and multi player modes. 560 Points

Virtual Console

Super Smash Bros. Please read

Wii Ware

Cocoto Platform Jumper. A port of a PS2/ Gamecube game that I’ve never heard of, but according to online reviews a pretty decent game. 700 points.

DSi Ware

Asphalt 4: Elite Racing. A port of an iPhone game. Not sure if you need to worry about catching Asphalt Racing 1 to 3 and I’m not sure we should be happy about paying more to play iPhone ports on other formats. 800 points

Sudoku 150! For Challengers. Hudson provides 150 Sudoku challenges. 500 points

Pick of the week

It’s a tough choice with Super Smash Bros and the Burnout pack finally being released. In the end I’m going with Burnout Paradise Big Surf Island as I still have my N64 cartridge. Hopefully, the release of this and Majora’s Mask signals the release of the remaining N64 games like Pilot Wings 64.
