Psycho bunny hits XBLA

Psycho bunny hits XBLA

It’s been a bit of a quiet week this week, but there’s still worthwhile stuff to download – as long as you’re not a PS3 owner.

Xbox Live

  • Sam and Max Save the World. This is the entire season 1 for Telltale games successful return to psycho bunny adventuring. At 1600 Microsoft points it’s cheaper than you could have bought it for on Wii and there’s Achievement Points. What’s not to like? Oh I forgot, I already bought it on Wii.
  • Magic: The Gathering. An XBLA version of a fantasy card game. That’s about all I’m willing to research on that one, other than it’ll cost you 800 Points.
  • Rocket Riot. Again I haven’t really bothered looking at this one, but according to the blurb on marketplace, it has 80 singleplayer levels and multi player and I suspect rockets are involved. Yours for 800 Points.
  • The BIGS (Demo). I’m surprised Europe get this light hearted basball game, but as a somewhat confused fan of the sport, I’m hoping this game can enlighten me on some of the stat heavy fun to be had by knocking it out of the park
  • Ice Age 3 Dawn of the Dinosaurs (demo). Another animated film becomes a bad video game.

WiiWare

Icarian: Kindred Spirits. A much anticipated game with stylish graphics and featuring a character called Nyx who is trying to save Icarus by traversing 2.5D levels solving the odd puzzle. 1000 Wii points

Let’s Catch. Prope’s other strange Japanese game, but this time you get to play catch rather tap on cardboard boxes. This seems even more transitory fun than Let’s Tap and at 1000 Wii points you’d have to be mad about catching this to provide your credit card details.

DSi Ware

A Little Bit of… Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training: Maths Edition. More recycling of DS games in downloadable format. I guess someone is buying these. 800 points

Playstation Network Store

MotorStorm: Pacific Rift – Jester Signature Livery. More free skins for your Motorstorm vehicles is this week’s only PSN update that isn’t a wallpaper or a song for a popular music game.

Pick of the Week

Not much to choose from – don’t worry next week will be better as we get some more Fallout 3 DLC. I’m going to go with Sam & Max due to it being a decent game and a fairly cheap way to pick it up.
