This was the week that 360 got Trials HD, North America got Super Star Wars and Europe didn’t. That’s it in a nutshell, but here’s the full list.

XBox Live

  • Trials HD (1200 Points). Fantastic physics based motorbike stunt racer. For my thoughts, please take a look here
  • G-Force (demo). An action platformer based on the dreadful Disney movie. A quick play demonstrates a competent if uninspired game with the voices of the cast.
  • Madden NFL 10 DLC. Hundreds of different little extras to make your time with Madden that little bit easier.

Playstation Store

Full list here via the Playstation Blog, but the highlights were:

  • Marvel vs Capcom 2 (£11.99). Obviously, worth picking up for any 2D fighting fans, unless you’ve still got your Dreamcast plugged in. It might still be worth paying for this version as all the fighters are available from the start.
  • Droplitz (£7.99). Mixed reviews for this puzzler, but a Metacritic rating of 78 means its worth a look.
  • Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (demo). A well reviewed western themed FPS, so it’s worth checking this out, even if the character models look just a little too shiny.
  • Red Faction: Guerilla – Demons of the Badlands DLC (£6.29).

Nintendo

No Super Star Wars for Europe, but perhaps next week.

Virtual Console

  • Phantasy Star (SMS) (500 Points). The original Phantasy Star is finally available on the virtual console, which I would have downloaded immediately had it not been made available on the Sega Megadrive Ultimate Collection earlier this year.

Wii Ware

  • Family Slot Car Racing (500 Points). If you can imagine how much fun it is to play virtual slot cars then you can probably imagine how much fun it is to play this.
  • 3-2-1, Rattle Battle (500 Points). Another mini game collection, this time involving shaking your remote – what else.

Dsi Ware

  • Flipnote Studio (free). A little app that lets you draw, animate and the publish pictures on your DSi. More about this here.
  • Sujin Taisen Number Battles (500 Points). A DSi release of a 2 year old Japanese DS cartridge release. It’s based on a board game and you can find a full review here.

Pick of the Week

No competition this week. Trials HD is an intensely fun if difficult experience and worth the 1200 points.
