BioShock 2Developers Take Two have revealed that they are still ‘evaluating the optimal release window’ for all their big releases next year, with the likes of BioShock 2, Mafia 2, Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3. A new update for Champions Online called ‘Bloodmoon’ will be made available in October, its set to revolve around a Halloween style theme with Werewolves and zombie featuring. SEGA say they are fine with the recent deal by Disney to buy Marvel as all current licenses running will be honoured by Disney. And finally Developers CCP have confirmed that Eve Online will have a new free expansion pack called ‘Dominion’, which will be out this winter.

LittleBigPlanetThe CEO of developers Crytek, Cevat Yerli, has appealed to fans to join the huge petition against the new law being considered in Germany banning violent games. Championship Manager 2010 developers, Eidos are promoting their new release by letting you buy it for as little as £2.51 if you pre-order it now. Sony have confirmed that PSN will temporarily being taken offline tonight, rather coincidently at the same time as their press conference begins. There is set to be a ‘Big’ LittleBigPlanet announcement coming today according to SCEA Marketing Manager Mark Valledor. And lastly developers Bethesda have moved quickly to clear up controversy over misleading quotes about there being no new Elder Scrolls chapters.

StarCraft 2The Starcraft 2 LAN Petition started in June has now reached over 100,000, as support grows for the inclusion of LAN enabled Multi-player. There are no plans for a Elder Scrolls 5 chapter to be made for the popular RPG, developers Bethesda have confirmed. There’s a new trailer for the highly anticipated game Rage for you to check out on our site now. Developers Infinity Ward’s have announced that WildStorm are going to publish a Modern Warfare 2 comic series. MAG will not be out for Christmas as its set to be released in 2010. And finally the Mini Ninjas demo will be out this week for you to try out.

Call of Juarez DLCVidZone reaches 1 million downloads and 100 million plays after only 8 weeks after being made available on the PS3. Bethesda are set to publish Archer MacLean’s new futuristic racing game ‘Wheelspin‘ for the Wii this autumn. Ubisoft has announced that a Call of Juarez DLC will be made available this Thursday containing new multiplayer maps. Japan are discontinuing the 80GB PS3 this week, leading rumours to the possible arrival of the PS3 Slim. Plus DSi owners can now upload photos to Facebook as upgrade is made available this week.

In this months issue of 360Zine we managed to get a quick interview with Vince Zampella, studio head of Infinity Ward the developers behind the highly anticipated Modern Warfare 2. Along with an exclusive preview of the game that from what we’ve seen so far looks all set to be a classic, with its pulsating, intense action and beautifully detailed surroundings.

We also managed to get a preview of Ubisofts upcoming release, Assassin’s Creed II. set in renaissance Italy, the game look visually stunning and with gameplay that’s expected to be a lot more diverse and interesting than in the first installment.

Plus we have previews for Wet, the new third-person action-adventure-shooter game being being developed by Bethesda Softworks. King of Fighters XII and Guitar Hero 5. There are also full reviews for Prototype, Call of Juarez 2 and Red Faction: Guerilla.

Issue 27 of P3Zine is available for download now, and it includes an exclusive preview and interview for EA’s new God of War like game, Dante’s Inferno. We’ve had a chance to play the game, and get to chat to the developer about the inspirations, both literary and gaming-wise. A game to watch.

Closer to home, we’ve playtests of InFamous, the next big PS3 game, and Damnation, the vertical shooter from Codemasters, plus the world’s first screens of Cross Edge from Square Enix and first look at Bethesda’s new shooter, Wet, which is looking interesting.
